To ensure custom leather watch band fits your Rolex perfectly, please read the following carefully. A correct fit depends on three critical factors, all specific to your exact watch model and preferences.
Clasp Connection & End Piece Design (The Buckle Connection)
The end of the watch band that connects to the folding clasp is also model-specific. Different types of Rolex buckles (e.g., Oysterclasp, Glidelock clasp, pin buckle) require different connector designs and shapes. A band made for one clasp type will not fit another.
Lug Width is Model-Specific
The width of the watch band where it attaches to the watch case, is called the lug width (Lug size). This is not universal based on case diameter alone. Different models, even within the same series, have different specifications.
Key Examples:
Datejust: The 36mm and 41mm models have different lug widths. (20mm or 21mm)
Submariner: The previous 40mm and current 41mm models have different lug widths. (20mm or 21mm)
Daytona: The 40mm and new 41mm models require different band sizes. (20mm or 21mm)
Sky-Dweller: Lug width can vary between different models and references. (21mm or 22mm)
Leather Watch Band Length for Rolex
Length customization is essential for a comfortable fit, especially with Rolex clasps that have limited adjustment.
For folded clasps (e.g., Oysterclasp, glidelock clasp): These clasps cannot be adjusted like a pin buckle. Minor adjustments are only possible if your clasp has a feature like the Glidelock (typically found on Submariners). Therefore, the overall band length must be custom-made for your wrist.
For Leather/Rubber Straps with Tang Buckle: These are fully adjustable via the buckle holes.

Your watch's exact model number (e.g., 116520, 16610).

If you are ordering a new band to use with your existing folding clasp:
Please provide your exact wrist size (in centimeters or inches). We will craft the band length accordingly.
If you are replacing an old leather strap and want the same length:
Please lay your old strap completely flat and measure its total length (from tip to tip, excluding the buckle).
Inform us of this measurement and confirm if you would like the new strap to be the same length, or if you would like us to lengthen or shorten it (please specify by how much). We offer complimentary length adjustments based on your old strap's measurement.
If you are replacing a Rolex rubber strap (Oysterflex):
The strap's underside is marked with letters (e.g., D, E, F, G). Please tell us the exact letter code on your current strap.
